The Problem

Olly Dean is BeZero Carbon's sole legal counsel managing ~20 contracts a month globally, on top of every other legal matter in the business. Everything was manual. No contract repository. No way to track key terms or renewal dates.

Integrations that fit the stack: Microsoft Outlook, DocuSign, Slack, and Microsoft SSO — SpotDraft plugged into what BeZero already used. 

Contracting strategy overhaul: Olly used SpotDraft to move BeZero away from lengthy 35-page MSAs to streamlined commercial order forms with online T&Cs — cutting the surface area for negotiation dramatically.

The Results

  • Contracts previously negotiated 78% of the time are now negotiated just 25% of the time.
